In honor of National Caregiver’s Month, The Madison Senior Center presents its 5th Annual Health & Resource Fair with over 40 vendors and health screeners who cater to the needs of adults, age 55+. This year for the first time PLATO is a contributing sponsor.
The format for the fair is primarily an open house. However, included are two presentations. The first presentation at 9:15 a.m. is a panel of speakers about remaining independent, and in your own home; this presentation is coordinated by PLATO.and will include the following organizations: (RSVP, transportation and other volunteer services; Independent Living-- home safety; Community Living Alliance,Inc.—chore and personal care services; ADRC-aging and disability resource center; and SAIL—a member organization for seniors. The second presentation is at 10:15 a.m. by staff from Cress Funeral Homes, and it’s about how to plan your own funeral. Whether for yourself, or a parent, both of these topics are best addressed before the need arises.
Door prizes will be given out throughout the morning; and light refreshments will be provided.
