I'm so excited to announce that Robert Kurson will be our guest author this spring – he will be appearing at our online discussion during PLATO's Writing Workshop on May 21 at 1:00pm.
Robert Kurson is the author of four New York Times bestsellers: Shadow Divers, Crashing Through, Pirate Hunters and Rocket Men. His article "My Favorite Teacher" was published in Esquire and was named a finalist for a National Magazine Award. His article Into the Light won the 2006 National Magazine Award.
Kurson primarily writes narrative nonfiction, or creative nonfiction. As someone who's read his work for many years, I can promise you that he combines thorough research with first-class storytelling. He has a reporter's eye and a novelist's sensibility.
If you have a chance, go out and buy and read some of his work. You won't be disappointed. Learn more about Robert Kurson and where his books can be found at robertkurson.com.
PLATO members are welcome to attend this special session of the Writing Workshop – to receive the Zoom link, register here by Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
