Everybody loves the ‘60s – the fashions, the movies, the moon landing, and, of course, the music! It was the greatest decade for popular music. BEEHIVE celebrates the powerful female voices of the 1960s, featuring songs by everyone from Lesley Gore to Janis Joplin, The Shirelles to The Supremes, Aretha Franklin to Tina Turner, and so many more! The show is a nostalgic journey through the decade, told from the perspective of six young women coming of age and accompanied by a live band. Join us as we showcase hits like “My Boyfriend’s Back,” “Be My Baby,” “Son of a Preacher Man,” and “Me and Bobby McGee.”

The meal includes Loaded Baked Potato Soup, freshly baked breads, choice of entree, Georgia Pecan Pie for dessert, and coffee/tea/milk. Entree choices include:
- Grilled Pork Ribeye - A Boneless Pork Loin Chop seasoned and grilled until juicy and tender, crowned with a rich homemade pork stock demiglace. Served with Basmati Rice and Broccolini.
- Seared Atlantic Salmon - A healthy 6 oz. filet of Fresh Atlantic Salmon seared to perfection, accompanied by a luscious Lemon Velouté Sauce. Served with Basmati Rice and Broccolini.
- Mediterranean Short Rib - A beautifully marbled 8 oz. Beef Short Rib seared then slowly braised in Olives, Capers, Tomato, Basil, and Red Wine until it’s deliciously melt-in-your mouth tender, resting on a bed of Garlic and Herb Whipped Potatoes. Served with an intensely flavored pan sauce from the braising process, and Broccolini.
- Vegetarian Pasta Primavera - A variety of seasonal vegetables seasoned and sautéed in our homemade Pomodoro Sauce, tossed with Penne Pasta, sprinkled with Parmesan Cheese and a Basil Chiffonade.

PLATO is partnering with the Verona Senior Center and UW Retirement Association on this travel opportunity. For insurance purposes, all travelers are required to complete the Verona New Member Form (no charge) and Verona Trip Waiver Form annually. Please download forms here, complete and bring to the bus on the day of the trip. These forms will also be available the day of the trip on the bus.
Pick-up locations are different from PLATO's usual trips.

Cost: $125 per person and includes bus transportation, driver tip, admission fees, meal, taxes, and gratuities.

Refund Policy: PLATO refunds an event fee if cancelled prior to the registration deadline. Refunds after the registration deadline are only processed if a wait-listed registrant can attend. Refunds made by check.
PLATO Membership: PLATO membership is $60.00/year and all memberships renew on July 1.
